Installing a TAP Security System to protect your home or business will keep you safe in the knowledge that any potentially unwanted Intruder will not enter without detection, but then what?
Consideration needs to be taken such as the location and visibility of the property, who will hear an alarm if it is to sound and how will they respond?
Most insurance companies especially when protecting high value or commercial risks will insist on a monitored Intruder Alarm, CCTV or both with a response plan. Advancements in technology means most security systems can now be viewed and controlled via a smart phone or tablet as standard but this method alone is not recognised by insurers as a form of notification.
Connection through an accredited Alarm Receiving Centre using a graded signalling device is the only format recognised by insurers and offers the most robust way of alerting keyholders or emergency services without been disrupted.
We offer a variety of levels of alarm monitoring and response, depending on your security and insurance requirements all of which can be used alongside the latest App technology for controlling systems.
Signalling devices are performance graded on the response time taken when sending information from the protected premises to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), the faster the response time the higher the Grade of the device. Other factors such as how many paths of communication does the device have with the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) are also taken into consideration.
Keyholder Only Response
This can be nominated members of your family or staff who are authorised to use the security system and have access to the premises 24 hours per day. Alternatively, this could be a private guarding company who will attend the premises on your behalf in the event of an activation been processed by the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).
Keyholder with Police Response Personal Attack
This can be nominated members of your family or staff who are authorised to use the security system and have access to the premises 24 hours per day. Alternatively, this could be a private guarding company who will attend the premises on your behalf in the event of an activation been processed by the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). In the event of a personal attack button either fixed or portable been operated the Police would be actioned to attend the premises along with key holders.
Full Police Response
All new Intruder Alarm installations requiring Police response must comply with PD6662:2017 & BS8243 before response will be granted. Older systems which have lost Police response due to too many false activations will need to be upgraded to comply with the latest standards before response will be re-instated. TAP Security will assist and advise you of the best solution without having to pay the earth and ensure you stay on the right side of any small in your policy when meeting your insurers requirements.
Common across all the products we supply is reliability and effectiveness which is why we use only two manufacturers for our signalling equipment CSL & BT Redcare.
